Financial Assistance at The King’s Academy is partially funded by the proceeds from the M. Nelson Loveland Student Scholarship Endowment, the James and Annie Erneston Student Scholarship Endowment and the Raese Family Student Scholarship Endowment.
Financial assistance is awarded for those families who demonstrate financial need as evaluated by Family Financial Needs Assessment (FFNA).
The King’s Academy seeks to assist families in affording a quality Christian education to the greatest extent possible. In seeking financial scholarship awards, families should follow the following steps:
- Complete full application for admission to The King’s Academy and be formally accepted.
- Complete the application for Financial Assistance on-line.
Important financial assistance application information and deadlines:
February 1: Applications received prior to February 1 cannot be considered for the upcoming school year.
Online Instructions: To apply on-line, go to FFNA’s web site. You will need our school id number which is 1642. The processing fee must be paid by credit card and you will be instructed where to fax your tax forms. Should you have any questions, FFNA’s phone number is: (662) 429-3473
FFNA has a $30 processing fee and requires 2-3 business days for FFNA to complete processing and submit an assessment report to TKA. TKA has four Award Notification dates, March 15, April 15, May 15 and June 15. Your award date will be based on the date TKA receives your assessment report back from FFNA (please see the TKA Award Notification schedule below).
Once all steps have been completed, FFNA will notify The King’s Academy of the family’s need level. The King’s Academy will then make an award based on availability of financial assistance funds. Financial need is determined by taking into account many factors including income, net worth, expenses, family size, and the number of children attending tuition-charging schools.
Application Tracking: It is recommended that you track the receipt of your application by FFNA and the delivery of your assessment report to TKA. You can track this activity through the FFNA web site (you will need your social security number). Remember, TKA has four Scholarship Award Notification dates based on the date TKA receives your assessment report back from FFNA (please see TKA Award Notification Schedule below).
TKA Award Notifications will be sent based on the following schedule:
| Assessment reports received from FFNA by: | Award Notification |
| March 1 | March 15 |
| March 2 – April 1 | April 15 |
| April 2 – May 1 | May 15 |
| May 2 – June 1 | June 15 |
***An assessment report must be received from FFNA by June 1 to be considered for a financial assistance award. Awards are not guaranteed for FFNA assessments received after June 1.
Despite a strong commitment to our financial assistance program, each year the number of students who qualify for financial assistance is more than we can fully support. TKA seeks to evenly distribute financial assistance to all those who show a need.
