Future King's Students from Clewiston Visit West Palm Beach Campus

While The King’s Academy will not open in Clewiston until August 2010, thirty Clewiston Christian School students recently received the opportunity for an early look at what they might expect when the new middle and high school opens its doors.  On February 18th, TKA’s West Palm Beach campus hosted all sixth through eighth graders from CCS.  The students and their teachers rode a King’s bus from Clewiston to West Palm Beach where they were greeted by TKA’s student ambassadors, a student-led service group.  The ambassadors accompanied Clewiston Christian students to a variety of middle and high school classes including science, English, math, dance, art, music, and physical education.

After lunch at TKA’s cafeteria, an ice cream social in the CCS group’s honor was hosted by King’s prefect council, a senior leadership group.  The council members discussed student life, spiritual life, academics, athletics, and fine arts opportunities at The King’s Academy.  Several prefects also told the Clewiston group about what they liked best about attending King’s.  One Clewiston student asked, “Is there anything that you do not have here?”  CCS students also had the opportunity to visit TKA’s library and some even took in a Lady Lions softball game.

The King’s Academy—Clewiston Campus is currently accepting applications for 7th, 8th, and 9th grades for the 2010-2011 school year.  For more information about enrolling at The King’s Academy at Clewiston Christian School, please contact Alinda Faircloth, Director of Admissions at (561) 686-4244, extension 335.
